Haha Yoga with Lucy Love

Hatha comes from the Sanskrit meaning of sun (ha) and moon (tha).. Hatha yoga is the balancing of lunar and solar aspects of our being. In joining the physical and mental, body and mind are brought into union.

This is achieved through breath synchronised movement, bringing our awareness down into our bodies to focus the mind on the flow of asanas (yoga postures) taking ourselves to a deeper level, where we can feel relaxed, embodied and energised.

Practising yoga can have a magical effect on our lives. It helps us to manage better with whatever is going on, fills us with vitality and lustre for life and inspires confidence within. It brings us back to ourselves.

Through my own experience and the witness of others, I truly believe in the power of meditation and benefits of yoga practice on both body and mind. My personal yoga practice incorporates singing and chanting and I love to bring this into my classes where it is appreciated.

Classes focus on strengthening, increasing flexibility, releasing tension and bringing greater awareness to the body and breath.

About Lucy Love

I learnt yoga in India from a teacher in Tulasidam, Kerala, South India. I stayed in the teacher’s house and we woke up for pranayama (breathing exercises) and asana practice every morning at 6am. I truly believe in the power of meditation and benefits of yoga practice on both body and mind. My personal yoga practice incorporates more singing and chanting and I love to bring this into my classes now and again.

I focus on strengthening, increasing flexibility, releasing tension and bringing greater awareness to the body and breath.
