Welcome Sophie Lewis

The Ladywell Gallery is proud to announce Sophie Lewis has joined our list of exhibiting artists. Sophie Lewis currently has work on display in the exhibition titled ’Visual Abstraction’.

Sophie Lewis is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator living in South East London. She has always taken an interest in attracting wildlife into the garden and became concerned on reports of the decline of bee population.

The Ladywell Gallery is proud to announce Maciej Jedrzejewski has joined our list of exhibiting artists. Maciej Jedrzejewski currently has work on display in the exhibition titled ’Visual Abstraction’.

Maciej Jedrzejewski has moved over from Poland to England at the age of 11 years old. He has spent his childhood in a small quiet town, located north west of Poland. The artist’s earliest memories are those of him drawing.

The Ladywell Gallery is proud to announce Visual Abstraction, an exhibition by Laura Hepworth with guest artists Maciej Jedrzejewski & Sophie Lewis.

In many cases where art and science collide, paradoxes occur in the artist’s work that has found influences in the findings of research by the work of scientists. Pablo Picasso, Robert Van Doesburg and Piet Mondrian, have included this interdisciplinary concept into their work, this is evident in Picasso’s paintings reflected in Albert Einstein’s theory of space time relativity and how he achieved this understanding of geometric form within the chaos of his works…
